San Francisco - Day ??
Monday, January 25, 2010 at 02:21PM The days are now running together. We know we've been on the road for a while, but you start to forget what day of the week it is. You just know where you're going to be tomorrow. We woke up dreary from the previous nights festivities and headed over to this sick studio in the Mission.
Studio Time…
The studio was pretty awesome. And its a great story. But we can't tell you about it yet. We'll be telling you about it soon in a feature in Revolt Media, a music magazine and blog based out of New Jersey. But here's a teaser for you.
San Francisco Show…
Straight from the studio, we shlepped our gear down the block to The Knockout for our show. We brought our gear in and immediately glued ourselves to the television for the second half of the NFC championship game with the Vikings and the Saints. The entire bar was rooting for the saints, with the exception of Johnny, the bartender. We sat on the edge of or seats as the game went back and forth, into overtime, and finally as we kicked the winning field goal. From the party the night before, the killer recording session, and then the game, we were pretty high on life.
It was a killer show. We had some killer bands opening up for us, Arcadio, and our friendly recording engineers band, Charles Gonzalaz and the Stereo Glitter. Afterwards we went to a local bar called the Latin American Club, and Chris from Reapandsow introduced us to their Margaritas, which consisted of a pint glass with 3/4ths tequila, and 1/4th margarita stuffs. After those, we were definitely having fun. We wasted the night away with Chris, Fred from the band Big Light (who you need to check out when their new record comes out), and Jeremy, Big Lights producer and drummer from Apollo Sunshine.
With the party, the studio, the game, and the company, so far, it was the best 36 hours of the tour thus far.
